Jessica discovered yoga in 1999 as an extracurricular class in college. Having suffered from depression throughout her teens, she found the practice to be incredibly powerful tool to help calm her mind and spirit. After one year of practice, she threw away her depression medications and never looked back.
After college, she spent 4 years in South America traveling 10 countries. A constant nomad, Jessica found her mat to be the one solid foundation she could depend on, a home away from home, her true north.
After a short return to the States in 2009, she then went to Greece, where she practiced with several inspiring teachers that brought her to the decision to take a teacher training upon her return to the USA. In 2011, she completed her training through the Wilmington Yoga Center. She has been teaching since, and loves sharing the transformative practice of yoga. Her classes are accessible to all levels, with a focus on breath, drishti and connection to one’s inner rhythms. She hopes to inspire students to take on a personal home practice and encourages exploration of yogic philosophy on and off the mat.
